Inspired by the mussel shells found on the beaches of Half Moon Bay, thirty minutes from Stanford's campus. A testament to friendship and to beauty found in items often considered ugly. Shells were collected on spontaneous beach days, prepped in a dorm bathroom, and drilled by hand.
800+ mussel shells hand-sewn and locally collected · raw-satin sculpted bodice · hand-drilled, structured necklace
Model, Delara Tehranchi · Photographers, Dominique Schleider, Cyprien Fasquelle, and Megan Chen
